A Pakistani Air Force training aircraft crashed in the northwestern part of the country today, killing two pilots, a Pakistani Air Force spokesman said.
“The teacher aircraft crashed “near Peshawar during a routine training mission,” said a statement issued by the Pakistan Air Force. No other casualties or damage were reported at the scene.
The Pakistani Air Force has ordered the establishment of a commission of inquiry to investigate the cause of the crash, according to the same source.
In May 2015, a military helicopter carrying diplomats to inspect a tourist project from above crashed, killing seven people, including the ambassadors of Norway and the Philippines.
In August of the same year, 12 people lost their lives due to the crash of a military hospital helicopter. Three months later, a pilot was killed on a routine training mission.
