Two Israeli rockets hit the Al Ahli Hospital in Gaza at dawn, destroying the emergency department and causing significant damage to other buildings.

The nursing staff has rushed to patients after a warning call from someone who claimed to be a member of the Israeli security forces shortly before the attack.

So far there are no reports of victims, and the Israeli Armed Forces (IDF) have not commented on the blow.

In shots broadcast by the Al Jazeera television network, dozens of people can leave the hospital. Among them, patients who were transported by hospital beds from their relatives.

Hamas spokesman condemned the attack as “heinous and nasty crime”, adding that Israel “deliberately destroyed and shut down 34 hospitals in the context of systematic planning to dismantle what was left of the health care sector”.

In October 2023, hundreds of people were killed because of a blow to the same hospital. Palestinian officials accused Israel of causing the massacre. For its part, Israel argued that the deadly explosion was due to a failed rocket launch by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, something the organization denied.
