This is the first sign of life by Braslavsky, 558 days after his abduction, when he was out of service and worked as a security guard at the Nova Music Festival, where he was abducted. His family has published testimonies of attendees saying that Braslavsky saved lives during the attack.

The family approved the publication of a brief video excerpt, in which Homer’s face is blurred. According to the content, the video seems to have been pulled in recent weeks.

In the video, Braslavsky is heard complaining about an illness that, he says, causes itching throughout his body, and appeals to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump to secure her release:

Braslavsky describes his physical and psychological state as difficult, and also speaks of the ongoing bombardment in Gaza. Addressing Netanyahu personally, he asks, “Can you get me out of here?”
