The Israeli prime minister today gave instructions to his negotiating team “to continue efforts” with the aim of liberating hostages that remain in the Gaza Strip, as it became known by Benjamin Netanyahu’s office.

“Benjamin Netanyahu had a meeting tonight to evaluate the hostage issue with the negotiating team and leading security officials,” the Israeli prime minister’s office said.

Meanwhile, Hamas official told the French News Agency (AFP) today that the Palestinian movement has not yet responded to the Israeli ceasefire proposal. Of the 251 hostages of Hamas, 58 remain in the Gaza Strip but 34 of them are no longer in life, according to the Israeli army.
