While trading between the US and China have not yet begun, US President Donald Trump made statements to reporters from the Oval Office on Tuesday. The US president said he would be very good in negotiations with Beijing And that duties on imports from the country will be significantly reduced after an agreement, but will not reach zero.

If China does not reach a trade agreement, the US will determine the terms, it noted.

“We will be very kind and see what happens”said Trump. “But after all, they have to make a deal, because otherwise they will not be able to make agreements in the United States and we want to participate.”

Speaking of the additional duties imposed on China, Trump said 145% is ‘Very high’ and that ‘Won’t be so high’.

The US president later reiterated that he believes that the US would reach an agreement with China.
