Russia will continue to target locations used by the Ukrainian army, foreign fighters and military trainers sent from Europe, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in an interview broadcast on Sunday.

A Russian rocket hit a block of flats in Kyiv last week, causing the deaths of at least 12 people. Lavrov argued that the goal was not “absolutely political”.

“We will continue to hit points used by the Ukrainian army, mercenaries of foreign countries and trainers that Europeans have officially sent to help target Russian political infrastructure,” Lavrov said in the CBS Face The Nation show in an interview.

The Russian Foreign Minister’s statements as Donald Trump has begun to express dissatisfaction and criticize Moscow for the continuation of the raids in Ukraine that affect civilians and political goals. On Saturday, the US president turned his fire on Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday, posting on Truth Social, questioning his commitment to end the war in Ukraine and warning that he may need to be “otherwise”.

“There was no reason for Putin to launch rockets into residential areas, cities and towns in recent days. This makes me think that it may not want to stop the war, just “drags me”, and should be treated differently through banking or secondary sanctions? Too many people die !!! ” The US president wrote.

In one last development, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Sunday that next week it would be “very critical” for whether the United States will continue to intervene for peace between Russia and Ukraine, Foreign Minister Markos Roumou said today.

“This week will be decisive, as we need to decide whether we will continue to invest in this effort or if it is time to focus on other issues, just as much or more important,” Rubio said.
