Trump’s acceptance is 41%, the lowest percentage for any newly elected president in the first 100 days of his term of office, from the time of Dwight Eisenhower to date
Donald Trump returned to the White House with the highest acceptance rates of his political career. However, as it approaches the landmark of the first 100 days of its presidency, negative views are gaining ground, according to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS.
Trump’s acceptance is 41%, the lowest percentage for any newly elected president in the first 100 days of his term of office, from the time of Dwight Eisenhower to date even compared to Trump’s first presidential term.

The acceptance of the way he exerts his rule has been reduced by 4 percentage points since March and by 7 points compared to the end of February. Only 22% say they fully approve the way they perform their duties, a new low, while about double (45%) say they are strongly condemned.
Since March, Trump has significantly declined his acceptance between women and Spanish -speaking Americans, a 7 -point drop in each group, with acceptance reaching 36% for women and 28% for Spanish.
Party acceptance also refers to a polarization image with 86% of Republicans to approve him and 93% of the Democrats condemn him. However, among the politically independent, the president’s acceptance rate has fallen to 31%, reaching the lowest level of his first term and compared to the corresponding percentages of January 2021.
The poll shows that the US president is in an unfavorable position and continues to lose ground on almost all the key issues he attempted to address during his term, with the confidence of citizens in his abilities to handle these issues showing a downward trend.
Trump’s acceptance indicators on financial issues have fallen sharply since early March, as the implementation of tariff policy has caused instability in markets and concerns about prices. In the issue of inflation, its acceptance has been reduced by 9 points, reaching 35%, while on the issue of tariffs itself it has fallen by 4 points, also to 35%. The assessment of economic management has fallen by 5 points, reaching the lowest level of his political career (39%), a level that had only reached his first term once again and again last March.
Only half of the Americans (52%) now express confidence in their ability to handle the economy, declining 13 points compared to a CNN poll last December.
Following his extensive efforts to remodel federal services, Trump has fallen on his acceptance rates in the management of the federal government, as 42% approves a decrease of 6 points since March. At the same time, only 46% approve the persons who have chosen to lead in public posts, declining 8 points since December. Fewer of half, 43%, believe that their actions are necessary, while the majority, 57%, estimate that their approach put the country at unnecessary risk.
Trump’s moves to foreign policy issues, especially the most friendly stance towards Russia in the war with Ukraine and the abolition of many external aid programs, also record negative rates, with 39% approve of 60% condemning. Only half say they have a lot or confidence in the handling of foreign policy issues, compared to 55% before taking up his duties.
Even on the issue of immigration, where earlier this year he had increased by 7 points compared to his first term, the poll shows a decline. 45% approve today’s handling (6 points fall since March) and 53% express confidence in their actions (from 60% in December).
The only issue that Trump maintains a positive sign is the management of gender identity issues and trans people’s rights: 51% approve of their attitude in this area, including 90% of Republicans, 48% of independent and 16% of democrats.
On the contrary, Trump’s attempts to intervene in the arts, culture and American history are extremely unpopular: 64% consider the movements of control of the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts inappropriate and interventions at the Smithsonian Foundation Museums exhibitions. D. Vance.
Vance records the same low acceptance as Trump (41%), with 58% condemning him. Neither Trump nor Vans are positively given by the majority of Americans: only 40% see the president and 34% of the vice president.
