Netanyahu said the only “good deal” would be the one that would destroy the “all infrastructure” of the Iranian nuclear program
Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu reiterated on Sunday for the complete dissolution of all of Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, while Washington and Tehran are holding talks on a nuclear deal.
The United States and Iran have so far held three rounds of indirect talks, with Oman’s mediation, with the aim of reaching an agreement that will prevent Tehran from gaining nuclear weapons, but also lifts the financial sanctions imposed by Washington.
Netanyahu said the only “good deal” would be the one that would destroy “all the infrastructure”, similar to the 2003 agreement signed by Libya with the West, canceling its nuclear, chemical, biological weapons and ballistic rockets.
Israeli officials have long proclaimed that they will prevent Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons, a statement repeated by Netanyahu.
Israel has not ruled out the possibility of an attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities in the coming months, despite the fact that President Donald Trump told Netanyahu that the United States is currently not prepared to support such an operation, according to a report by Reuters on April 19.
Netanyahu, speaking late Sunday night in Jerusalem, told Trump that any nuclear agreement with Iran should also prevent Tehran from the development of ballistic missiles.
