The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson is in Brussels, who on NATO summits and the G7 will present a new British aid package to Ukraine.

Arriving in the Belgian capital, Mr Johnson said leaders must rise to the challenge of providing assistance to Ukraine in order to defend its territories.

He added that the Ukrainians have shown how much they love and believe in their country and that they are ready to fight side by side to defend it.

He also noted that the United Kingdom plans to send another 6,000 missiles to Ukraine as part of a new aid package announced overnight by Downing Street.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, half of these missiles will be anti-tank, like the 4,000 light anti-tank weapons systems NLAW and Javelin that London has already made available to Ukrainian forces.

The remaining 3,000 are described as “high explosive weapons”. These are believed to include Starstreak anti-aircraft missiles.

The British government has also announced that it will assist the Ukrainians in gathering security information, as well as 25 25 million to pay the salaries of members of the Ukrainian armed forces. London has already allocated 400 400 million in humanitarian and financial aid to Kyiv.

In addition, 4 4.1 million will be donated to the BBC World Service to support programs in Ukrainian and Russian, as well as money and practical support for the International Criminal Court’s investigation into war crimes in Ukraine.

“One month after the crisis began, the international community is faced with a choice. “We can keep the flame of freedom alive in Ukraine or risk extinguishing it all over Europe and the world,” said Prime Minister Johnson.

He added that Putin was “already failing in Ukraine” and pledged to work with partners to boost military and financial aid to Kyiv.

In a morning interview on London’s LBC radio station, Boris Johnson compared the Ukrainian president to Winston Churchill, saying that like the historic British leader, Volodymyr Zelensky “knows he may not have the lion, but to give the roar “. He added that the lion is the Ukrainian people.

He also said that there were ways to increase pressure on Putin “and reduce the duration of the war”, such as possibly imposing restrictions on the use of Russian gold reserves or further excluding Russia from the SWIFT banking system.

He described as the biggest revelation of the last month the love of Ukrainians for their country and their determination to defend it.
