For 14 injured in blows in the capital Sanaaa, the guerrilla government speaks
The Houthi guerrilla movement in Yemen today spoke of at least fourteen injured in more than ten US air bombings in the capital Sanaa and its surroundings, as Washington continues its campaign of almost daily air strikes against the rebels.
The new bombings reported a few hours after the injury of eight people in Israel due to the launch of a ballistic missile by Houthi against Ben Gurion International Airport near Tel Aviv.
According to the SABA news agency, which is in the Houthi movement, “two strikes by the American enemy targeted Arban Street” in Sanaa and a third “the way to the airport”. The agency also spoke of two blows earlier in the context of a “American attack”, as well as seven other bombings on the outskirts of the capital.
“Fourteen citizens were injured in the US attack on Arbain Street,” added SABA, citing the Houthi government’s health ministry.
Bombings were also carried out in the provinces of Marib (Central), Saanda, the cradle and stronghold of Houthi (north), and Jauf (north), always at the agency.
At the end of April, USA aviation bombings in Sanaaa had claimed the lives of at least eight people and injured many others, according to the rebel movement.
Houthi, part of the so -called “axis of resistance” against Israel and the US, organizationally loose alliance of movements in Iran, say they attack Israel and ships in the Red Sea in solidarity with the Palestinians in the 20th of Gaza.
Since January 2024, the US Army has been attacking Houthi’s positions in Yemen as part of an attempt to force them to end their attacks with rockets and drones against Israel and merchant ships moving towards the Red Sea Canal.
