Iran has agreed to a fourth round of indirect talks with the US on the Iranian nuclear program, and new talks will take place on Sunday in Oman, as US President Donald Trump’s envoy, Steve Whitkov, will travel to the Sultanate.

Washington and Tehran have talks over the last month with the aim of reaching an agreement to limit Iran’s nuclear program in exchange for removing financial sanctions.

The fourth round of talks originally scheduled for May 3 in Rome was postponed, with Oman who has a mediator role citing “technical reasons”.
