The 39-year-old diver was doing underwater work on the yacht that sank last year near Palermo- In the month efforts to lift the boat
A diver lost his life today, during preliminary work on the lifting of British tycoon Mike Linds, who sank in northern Sicily last summer.
The luxurious 56 -meter Bayesian sailing was anchored in the small port of Porticello, near Palermo, last August. It was probably overturned by a very strong gust of wind, killing seven people. Among the victims were Leeds himself and his daughter, Hannah.
According to local police, the diver who lost his life today was doing underwater work on Porticello. The causes of his death remain unclear at present.
In May, it is expected to be an attempt to lift Bayesian, which would help explain how the theoretically immersed boat disappeared at sea.
Italian news agencies reported that the diver who lost his life was a 39 -year -old Dutchman working for the Dutch company Hebo Maritiemservice, specializing in ship lifts.
