Ukraine’s military support for troops is being examined by France in cooperation with partners, as President Emmanuel Macron said in an interview with the Le Parisien newspaper on Saturday.

He avoided clarifying the form that such a military presence could take.

“We are working on the presence and strategic footprint of the partners. Multiple contacts have been made between the leaders of the British, France and Ukraine, who coordinate the project with all other partners, and all of which are going and becoming clearer, “the French president said.

In aversion to his speech, he underlined: “The key is to have troops in Ukraine.”

Macron’s attitude comes at a time when major European forces, such as France, strongly support the proposal for immediate cease -out of the 30 -day fire in Ukraine – an initiative that has taken the support of US President Donald Trump.

Macron visited Kiev on Saturday with the leaders of Britain, Germany and Poland. During the visit, the four leaders had a telephone conversation with President Trump in an effort to strengthen international coordination over the Ukrainian crisis.
