US Secretary of State Marko Rubio discussed the prospects of a settlement in Ukrainian with the foreign ministers of some EU and Ukraine countries, the US foreign ministry said in a statement.

Rubio talked to the High Representative of the Union on Foreign Policy Kaya Callas, and the Foreign Ministers of France, Germany, Poland, the United Kingdom and Ukraine.

“The leaders discussed the path to a ceasefire and the path to peace in Ukraine,” The State Department’s statement said.

Speaking to reporters in Kremlin on May 11, Russian President Vladimir Putin called on the Kiev authorities to repeat the immediate conversations that interrupted in 2022. He suggested that the talks be launched on May 15 in Constantinople. The Russian leader argued that Russia had declared truce more than once, but all of them, including the last three -day truce of the Victory Day, were violated by the Kiev regime.
