US President Donald Trump has expressed his support for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s current goals over the Gaza War, as well as the need to prevent the acquisition of nuclear weapons from Iran, during a telephone conversation between him.

Netanyahu and Trump “discussed the war in Gaza” and “President Trump expressed his support for the goals set by Prime Minister Netanyahu: to ensure the liberation of all our hostages, to eliminate Hamas and to promote the Trump plan,” he said.

The Israeli prime minister stressed that he was ready for a temporary ceasefire in Gaza in order to release the hostages that Hamas still holds.

At a press conference last night, Netanyahu included for the first time the implementation of Trump’s post -war plan to relocate Gaza civilians as a prerequisite for ending the war.

The two “also agreed on the need to ensure that Iran does not acquire nuclear weapons,” the statement said.

The phone call comes after shooting with two Israeli embassy officials in Washington last night, and Trump “expressed his deep sorrow over the horrible murderThe victims, the prime minister says.
