Fewer immigrants and more work than the Germans is the central narrative of Yen Span, head of KO. of Christian Democrats and leading executives of the party -with the ambitions of the next Chancellor. Zero irregular migration, in order not to “bother” public opinion in the country, promises to interview the RND network by the head of the Christian Democrats of Christian Democrats. As the “change of policy” wants to be implemented by the new government of Friedrich Mertz, it is based on three pillars, one of which is precisely the change in immigration policy. The other two are the country’s “return” to the international spotlight and the stimulation of business.

Degrading Merkel

Span praises Interior Minister Alexander Dobrid, who from the first day of his term made this turn to the migration.

The 45 -year -old politician who had triggered the election after the election, demanding that the far -right AfD be treated as “a party like everything else” adopts the view that politicians should adapt to society’s moods rather than trying to influence them, completely deconstructing Angela Merkel’s policy.

His words are revealing: “A wide middle class of the country does not want this migration policy of the last ten years. A broad middle class is bored of the fact that we do not know who is entering our country and why and that everyone is entitled to social benefits from the very first day. There is no acceptance for this. We are making a policy for this majority – which, incidentally, includes the majority of SPD voters. That is why there has been a shift to the issue of immigration and asylum since our first day of our government. Asylum seekers are also returned to the German border. We will suspend the reunification of families. We will end the process of naturalizing “Turbo”. And I can tell you that the vast majority of Germans are very pleased with the last two weeks. “

At the same time, Interior Minister Alexander Dobrid told Bild that a proposal to suspend two years of regulation that allowed the reunification of families, even for those who have not received asylum regime, which is also a decision to be reunited, on Wednesday.

It is worth noting, however, that this week, speaking at a presentation of her book “Eleftheria” in Ulm, Angela Merkel defended this policy of the last ten years and stressed that he would re -re -famous phrase “we will succeed”, for which he has been criticized. “It was no solution to repel people on the border with water cannons,” he said meaningfully and stressed that the migration would not be resolved at the German-Austria border, but with a common European effort. It is recalled that these days with cameras and journalists, Dobrid were found to demonstrate the change in politics in the immigration.

Finish the benefits without control

All of this is not interesting, however, by Yen Span, who normally owes Merkel, who had supported him politically, although he was not one of the most successful health ministers. Span has estimated that what must be limited above all is the massive increase in the amounts available for the so -called “citizen income”, which has the logic of safeguarding a minimum living and for which, as he explains, a total of 52 billion euros are spent each year.

“In Germany the minimum living limit must be guaranteed. But the central principle is: If you can work, you should work, otherwise you will lose your right to benefits. In the long run, the population will not accept that the percentage of people with immigration backgrounds in Germany only for a short time is constantly increasing in terms of ‘citizens’ income. This is a social dynamite. We want to ensure social peace. “

In essence, Span accepts much of AfD’s positions with the above, without giving specific evidence, simply citing the need to avoid political instability due to popular discontent.

Responding to a question about the discomfort of neighboring countries in total border sealing, he says it is not Germany the only country in Europe that is considered safe. This applies to all its neighboring Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Denmark, Austria, Switzerland, Czech Republic and Poland.

“We are only in the beginning,” says the Christian Democrat politician, admitting that the zero goal may be impossible. “The absolute number has been reduced from 350,000 to 250,000 immigrants in one year. But this number is still too large. Municipalities can no longer be over. The aim is to eliminate the elimination of illegal immigration as possible. “

Work, work, work

Span, however, also expressed interesting views in relation to working conditions when he was asked to explain a previous statement by his politician. Mertz had depreciated the work-life model as a hindrance to economic growth. Span asked the Germans to even overtime, if necessary, to get the economy ahead.

“If the majority of the Germans sees that the government itself is lifting the sleeves, then there will be greater excitement for it as a whole. But we also have to ask a question about our attitude: Is the work just an unpleasant interruption of our leisure time? For CDUs and CSUs, work is part of the human existence and part of one’s identity. A positive attitude towards work is usually German in the best sense. “

Span’s positions, however, are not surprised. His choice in this position was definitely a message from the Chancellor. The former Minister of Health, although young at the age and openly homosexual, identifies himself as belonging to the most conservative wing of the party and his appointment was also a kind of compass for the course of Christian Democracy under the leadership of Friedrich Mertz and the rumors of the rumors.
