The White House said Thursday that Israel has agreed with the US proposal to cease fire.
Israeli media reported that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the hostage families held in Gaza that Israel accepted the agreement presented by Trump’s envoy in the Middle East Steve Witkov.
For its part, the Palestinian Islamist organization Hamas said yesterday that it received the Israeli response to the proposal, which he said, “It does not respond to any of the Palestinian law and legal requests”including the immediate cessation of hostilities and the end of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
