Iraq today filed a complaint to the UN Security Council for “breach” of its airspace by Israel and “its use to launch military attacks” against Iran.
“These practices constitute a blatant violation of Iraq’s sovereignty,” the Iraqi Foreign Ministry said in a statement in Baghdad, which calls on “the Security Council to take responsibility”, and to act in order to “prevent such violations”.
The Lebanese Hezbollah movement has criticized the series of deadly air strikes that launched Israel in Iran against military and nuclear facilities that threaten, according to the pro -Iranian organization, to “set fire to the whole area”.
Hezbollah condemned the “brutal Israeli attack” by saying that Israel “is thrown into adventures that threaten to set fire to the whole area.”
An official cited by Reuters agency said the Lebanese armed organization would not unilaterally attack Israel in response to Israeli blows in Iran.
“Hezbollah will not start attacking Israel in retaliation for Israel’s blows,” the official told Reuters. An announcement released by the organization condemns Israeli blows and expresses its complete solidarity in Iran.
For its part, the Lebanese Foreign Ministry-a country recently shocked by many months of tensions and war between Israel and the Israeli army-spoke of talks held in order not to affect Lebanon by possible consequences of the Israeli attack.
