After three consecutive years on top, Vienna fell second in the list of the most viable cities the world for 2025, according to the annual ranking of the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU).

Copenhagen, the Danish capital, took the first place, thanks to excellent performance in the areas of stability, education and infrastructure.

Vienna fell due to a fall in the stability score, with a prime example being the cancellation of Taylor Swift’s concert after the bomb threat.

The ranking evaluates 173 cities based on parameters such as health care, education, political stability, infrastructure and environment.

Cities that retreated

OR Bun and Toronto In Canada, they fell due to a burden on the health system. The same thing happened with the British cities London, Manchester and Edinburgh because of social tensions.

Cities that went up

The city Al -combar In Saudi Arabia and the Jakarta of Indonesia have greatly risen to rankings due to improvements in stability and public services.

The least viable cities

Last on the list remains the Damask in Syria, while following the Tripoli (Libya), the Dhaka (Bangladesh), the Karachi (Pakistan) and the Algiers (Algeria).
