The United States is expanding its military presence in the Middle East as a third US Navy’s destroyer entered the eastern Mediterranean to boost Israel’s defense, while a second aircraft carrier is heading to the Arab Sea.

The USS Nimitz aircraft carrier, accompanied by nine degrees of aircraft and five destroyers, departs from the South China Sea to the Arab Sea, where it will join the USS Carl Vinson battle team, according to information from US and international media.

The mission includes the development of advanced fighters, such as the F-16, F-22 and F-35, with the aim of strengthening US military presence and deterrent power.

The nuclear -powered aircraft carrier is part of a broader mobilization of US forces, which includes:

  • The relocation of dozens of Air Force tankers in Europe to support potential businesses in the Middle East.
  • The movement of two US destroyers to the Mediterranean, closer to Israel, to strengthen the defense presence in the region.
  • The granting of a repatriation permit to military families on US bases in the Middle East for security reasons.
