Tapas and New Cafes Festival on Paulista Avenue are gastronomic highlights in SP

Restaurants in the state capital prepare special bits for the third edition of the Tapas Festival, which starts on Thursday (19). Among other gastronomic news, Paulista Avenue has just won three more coffee shops from Argentina. Learn more below.

1908 Coffee

With matrix in Paradise, the Japanese coffee shop won a unit at Shopping Cidade São Paulo, with its own salon. In the sweet wing, there are desserts like Ichigo Shortcake (R $ 24), strawberry and whipped cream. A teas section highlights options like the Sencha (R $ 16). There are also drinks and, among salty recipes, sands such as the Teriyaki chicken (R $ 43), karaague, marinated chicken overcox with shoyu, sake and ginger (R $ 42) and combined.

BELÔ COFFEE

Minas Gerais chef Andreza Luisa celebrates a year of her restaurant with new dishes in the menu, combining ingredients of her land and Asians. These are creations such as Jiló’s Oniguiri confirmed with GOCHUJANG and TOGASHI caramel (R $ 59) and brown pork rice with tomatoes, grilled octopus and rapadura glace (R $ 159).

Just S’mores

The brand, which opened a kiosk a month ago, prepares drinks with a rereading of the sweet S’More. There are nine options on the menu, with coffee or hot chocolate, which get a toasted marshmallow edge and, on top, a creamy black cream, to dive into the drink. What varies are the toppings: hot chocolate that also takes pieces of brownie and chocolate syrup comes for $ 25.90.

Toasted

Argentina’s coffee chain has just gained a new unit on Paulista Avenue, in a property where a Starbucks was once working. In the menu, there are classic size, case of medialuna, bread in half moon format (R $ 9). The toasts of the name are served with fillings such as smoked loin, smoked onion and cheese mix (R $ 37). To drink, there are cafes and infusions.

Tuy Cucina

Chef Ana Cremonezi, who commanded the extinct Ella Fitz, takes over the kitchen of the Mediterranean -inspired restaurant. It presents creations such as crispy squid with burrata and citrus cream (R $ 97), accompanied by Orecchiette, Guanciale and toasted tomato sauce. The sea and mountain (R $ 290) is a socarrat (Spanish caramelized rice) of carabineiro with toasted tomatoes, saffron, guancing and aïoli.

Events

Aiô

Elected the best news in the best of São Paulo – Gastronomy 2024, the restaurant receives chef Marcelo Schambeck, from Gaucho Capincho, for a collaborative dinner with chefs Caio Yokota and Victor Valadão. There will be nine unpublished dishes, such as Bao Taiwanese stuffed with bovine ribs, cooked for 16 hours, and sloch strawberry cream (R $ 82).

Tapas festival

The event reaches the third edition, which runs until July 3, and brings together 25 restaurants and bars that prepare small bits for the occasion. Among the participants, Huevos de Oro, in Pinheiros, presents the tuna tartare with eggs, served on cold tomato soup (R $ 49). Caco, recently open in the same neighborhood, prepares the creamy Croqueta of Ox’s tongue with Aïoli (R $ 48). Other participants include Cora, Elea, Iberian Market, Mix, Tapas Nit Bar and Torero Valese. At the end of the event, the public votes for the best creation and competes for a dinner.

Taraz

Sunday (22), the restaurant offers menu in a June party mood. It costs R $ 395 and includes cocktails, wines and dishes such as Brazilian cheese pastry and hot guava corn cake. The space will also have apple tents of love, cotton candy and other typical delicacies.
