Tehran today called on both the Swiss ambassador and the German ambassador for explanations, reacting strongly to recent statements by US and German leaders.
The German ambassador to Iran was summoned to the Foreign Ministry today following the statements of Chancellor Friedrich Mertz, who expressed his support for Israel’s attacks on the Islamic Republic.
“Following the shameful statements of the German Chancellor, who expressed his support for Tel Aviv’s attacks on our country, the ambassador of this country (Germany) was called to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,” Iran’s state television said.
Chancellor Mertz said Tuesday that Israel has the courage to do “the dirty work for all of us” attacked in Iran, which “has brought death and destruction to the world”.
At the same time, the Iranian Foreign Ministry today called the Swiss ambassador to Tehran, a country representing US interests as Iran and the United States – Israeli allies – do not maintain diplomatic relations for recent statements by Donald.
“Following irregular, threatening and provocative statements by the US president, the Swiss ambassador was called to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,” state television and the semi -official MEHR news agency reported without giving more details.
Earlier, Trump had asked Iran “to surrender unconditionally”.
