A message in the US that their possible involvement in Israeli attacks would be “unfortunate and very dangerous to all” was sent by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragi from Constantinople.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the meeting of the Islamic Cooperation Organization in Istanbul, Arakzi said:
“To get back to diplomacy, aggression should stop. It is obvious that I cannot negotiate with the United States when our people are bombarded with the support of the United States.
“Unfortunately, we have come to the conclusion that the United States is in this aggression from the beginning. They refuse, they continue to say that they are not involved, but we have many indications that they have been involved from day one.
“And now the US President’s interviews are quite clear that he is talking about a US leadership on this issue.
“Unfortunately, we have heard that the US can participate in this aggression. That would be very unfortunate and I think it would be very dangerous for everyone. “
Iranian Foreign Minister formulated the same positions in an interview with US NBC networkafter the Meeting in Geneva with European Foreign Minister and the head of European diplomacy Kaya Kalas.
Arakzi did not hide his perception in Iran that the US may have used the proposal for negotiations to conceal Israel’s planned military operation.
“We don’t know how we can trust them anymore. What they did was, in fact, betrayal in diplomacy, “he told the NBC. Asked if some kind of agreement with the US may be reached within the two weeks set by Trump, Iran’s Foreign Minister said it is up to the White House to show his determination to pursue a solution through negotiations. In any case, Arakzi made it clear that the Iranian government would not negotiate as long as Israel’s attacks on his country continue.
The meeting on “The Organization of Islamic Cooperation in a changing world” is expected to be spoken by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
At the meeting, hosted by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, there are about 1,000 invited by the 57 Member States of the Organization, as well as by about 30 international organizations, such as the United Nations, the Arab League, the Gulf Cooperation Council, the Economic Cooperation Organization Turkish states, the International Organization for Migration and the World Trade Organization.
