BBC introduced subscriptions paid to Tingeas the British broadcasting body, funded by the State, is looking for new sources of revenue in the midst of negotiations with the British government to fund it.

“In the coming months, as we try and learn more about the needs and habits of the public, additional long -term content will be added with real events to the bid for users who pay,” said Rebecca Glasov, chief executive of BBC Global Media & Streaming.

In recent years, the BBC has been declining the number of those who pay the annual reciprocal fee (£ 174.50 / $ 239.76) imposed on all households watching TV on live broadcasts as viewers are increasingly turning on internet platform content.

The British government announced last November that it will review the Royal Decree of the BBC, which sets out the terms and model of funding of the broadcasting body, with the aim of ensuring a viable and fair system after 2027.
