India’s Foreign Ministry announced on Sunday that it is categorically rejecting the Pakistani army’s claim that behind the Saturday hit in North Vazistan “India is hiding”.
It is recalled that a kamikaze perpetrator driving a vehicle trapped with explosives fell on a military phalanx in Mir Ali, near the border with Afghanistan, killing at least 13 soldiers. The attack took place on Saturday morning when the phalanx was on a scheduled patrol in the area.
In a formal statement, the Indian Foreign Minister stressed that “there is absolutely no evidence” linking India with this attack and described any “unacceptable” attempt at the fight against terrorism. At the same time, he underlined his intention to continue cooperating with Pakistan in the anti -terrorist sector, since the second side focuses on real data rather than unfounded categories.
The Pakistani army, for his part, reiterated that the action in Mir Ali is a “directed terrorist attack” and stressed that his armed forces would intensify their operations in cooperation with intelligence services to disrupt the networks behind similar strikes.
