One of the Trump fan who participated on January 6, 2021, in the attack on the US Capitol, was sentenced to life in prison for planning to assassinate police officers who had been investigating him.
Veteran Edward Kelley, 36, was found guilty in November by a Tennessee Court (southern US) for three charges, including planning to kill federal officials.
The US justice decision was announced just hours ago.

Kelley had made a “black list” of FBI agents, federal police, and other people who had participated in his investigations on January 6, 2021, according to the indictment.
Life imprison, despite the grace of Trump
Edward Kelley was one of more than 1,500 people who attacked the Capitol, in which Donald Trump granted a presidential grace on the first day of his new term on January 20th.
Edward Kelley’s lawyers argued in vain that this grace also covered the acts he is accused of in this case. But prosecutors emphasized that this criminal plan dates back to December 2022, almost two years after the Capitol attack, as well as the lack of remorse.
On January 20, 2025, Donald Trump deleted with his marker the most extensive investigation ever by the Ministry of Justice, awarding a decree to approximately 1,250 doomed in the case, turning the penalty of 14 others and ordering the cessation of the prosecution.
On that day, hundreds of fans, listening to his unfounded accusations of electoral fraud, had occupied the Capitol from an attack to attempt to prevent the victory of his democratic opponent, Joe Biden, there.
