The number of people who were injured by the big explosion that occurred at 8am at a gas station in a Rome neighborhood has risen to 21. Among the injured are 3 with severe burns. The injured include firefighters, police officers and first aid workers, according to Italian media, as they were on the spot before the explosion was held after a dumping of a truck in a gas station.

The huge explosion at the gas station, diesel and LPG (LPG) station in Via dei Gordiani was heard throughout the Italian capital.

The flames were extended to adjacent buildings and to the courts of the courts. The extinguishing operation is still in progress.

The explosion occurred shortly after 8am, while the gas station was refuted.

The local Roma Today news website posted a photo showing a huge cloud of tobacco and fire high above the gas station.

Rome’s Public Transport Service said it closed a nearby TEANO subway station following police instructions.

“A click woke us up, it was heard like a bomb,” said a resident of an apartment building on Via Dei Gordiani Street, describing the moments of fear that he lived shortly after the explosion.

“We didn’t understand what it was, all the windows were shaking. It could be a bomb, an earthquake, we didn’t understand. After the smoke we realized that it was an explosion, “says a tenant next to a building.
