On the contrary, at a distance of 1,600 kilometers west, the Izmir tourist area is still facing fires, powered by drought and winds of 85 kilometers/h.
Mercury is expected to increase this weekend, reaching at least 40 degrees Celsius at the beginning of next week on the west coast and southeast.
Authorities also issued a warning to Ankara residents, where mercury is expected to exceed 36 degrees Celsius.
