The US accused Hamas yesterday for the attack that caused him injury to two US workers at the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) at a Palestinian enclave distribution center.
The US -backed and Israelth Humanitarian Foundation for Gaza said in a statement that the two injured Americans were being treated and added that their condition was considered stable, while having no injuries that threaten their lives.
“The attack – which according to preliminary information was launched by two perpetrators who threw grenades against the Americans – occurred at the end of an otherwise successful distribution operation, during which thousands of Gaza residents received safe food,” GHF said.
State Department spokesman Tami Bruce accused “Hamas terrorists” of attacking.
“This act of violence against the people who provide relief to Gaza residents clearly demonstrates Hamas’ elimination,” she said in X.
“The GHF has offered more than 62 million meals – nothing will stop these brave relief workers. We pray for the quick recovery of the US wounded, “Bruce added.
Earlier, the Israeli army had accused “terrorist organizations” of sabotaging the distribution of assistance to the Gaza Strip.
The GHF, which began distributing humanitarian aid to Gaza in May, has hired private US military contractors to guarantee security at its distribution centers.
In the meantime Gaza authorities announced that on yesterday’s day At least 70 Palestinians were killed In attacks by the Israeli army, including 23 near aid distribution centers.
In a statement, the Israeli army noted on Friday that last week he killed 100 gunmen in the Gaza Strip and added that 65% of the Palestinian enclave has now under his “operational audit” after his northern operations.
For its part, the Hamas Ministry of Health warned Palestinians on Thursday to have no contact with GHF and not to help it, complaining that deadly incidents near its distribution centers are jeopardizing the hungry residents of Gaza.
The UN and most non -governmental organizations refuse to work with GHF, questioning its neutrality and methods.
Israel has a complete exclusion of Gaza on May 19, after 11 weeks. The UN reports that since then more than 400 Palestinians have been killed in their attempt to obtain humanitarian aid. A senior UN executive complained last week that the majority of them were killed while trying to receive help from GHF distribution centers.
