A large, international anti -handling operation was held in early June by Interpol, with the participation of police authorities of about 40 countries,

The operation, held from June 1 to June 6, under the direction of the Austrian and Romanian forces of the class, focused on Victims of sexual exploitation, forced crime and forced begging.

In total, 1,194 possible victims were identified and made 158 arrests.

A total of almost 15,000 agents from 43 countries participated in the operation.

Hundreds of victims, mainly women and children were saved

The victims come from 64 countriesmainly from Romania, Ukraine, Colombia and China, which were sometimes transferred beyond nationals, and even continents, borders, Interpol said in a statement, which was co -ordinated with Europol and Frontex.

The majority of victims of sexual exploitation identified thanks to the business were adult women.

The minor victims “were more often exploited for coercive begging or forced criminal activities such as theft of a bag or pocket content,” the statement said.

Indeed, many of these young victims were exploited by members of their family.
