A small passenger aircraft crashed shortly after taking off from Southend Airport to Essex on Sunday afternoon, causing a huge fiery bullet, according to eyewitnesses.

Essex police and the Eastern England ambulance service have rushed to the spot and handle the incident as a serious incident.

According to first reports, the aircraft is a 12 -meter BeechCraft B200, and had departed for Lelistad in the Netherlands.

In a statement, police said: “They alerted us shortly before 4pm of a collision involving a small aircraft. We work together with all emergency services and businesses will continue for several hours. “

It is not yet known how many people were on the aircraft, and there are no official reports of victims. Investigations are in full swing.
