The assassination of her newlywed ex -husband is accused of designing a Texas woman injected fentanyl in a box of chocolates which she sent as a congratulatory gift from an unknown place, according to the Parker County Sheriff’s office.
63 -year -old Pamela Jean Stanley was charged last week for attempted homicideafter the police reported that the 63 -year -old revealed to a known one that she was intended to buy puddle powder, put her in a “box of expensive chocolates” and mail her to her ex -husband, disguising the poisoned sweets as a gift from a travel agency that offered a honeymoon package.
The woman was arrested after driving for hours from the small town of Coleman of Western Texas to try to buy what she thought was puddle from secret detective in a motel parking lot, according to police. It was also found in its possession of a substance containing 9.5 grams of methamphetamine, they said.
Stanley’s ex -husband, Jeff Kaut, said in a televised interview with the local WFAA network, a subsidiary of ABC News, that he had heard rumors at the beginning of last year that his ex -wife was planning to hire an enforcement.
“It didn’t surprise me, because it’s something like that,” he said.
Katuth told WFAA that he broke up from Stanley in 2019 after 14 years of marriage. As he said, he was afraid that an armed attack could be made and reached the point of constructing a dummy of himself as a bait to keep it in his house. He said he had spoken to researchers about his concerns, but then no charges were filed.
“I hoped he would move on or find happiness, and I hoped he would hop for me too, but it just didn’t work like that,” he said.
“I will never look at a box of chocolates in the same way.”
Earlier this month, Kaut announced on Facebook the launch of a new chapter in his life with his fiancee, sharing a post with photos of the two smiling and showing their rings in a picturesque mountainous passage in Colorado. The two got married last week.
In a statement to The Washington Post, Cut and his family thanked the public for their support and refused to comment further, citing the upcoming dates of Stanley’s trial.
“We pray for justice to be rendered so that our family can live peacefully without fear of retaliation in the future,” the statement said.
