Anti -war demonstrations took place on Thursday in Tel Aviv and Haifa, where incidents took place and Israeli authorities made arrests. Later it became known that at least two bookings were made in episodes in the Israeli capital.

Later, police threw protesters on the ground, handcuffed them and transported them to a Van police officer.

Police describe the 24 arrested demonstrators as riots, saying that “they did not respond to police orders, holding placards and shouting slogans against Israel’s actions in Gaza war”.

In a video from the point of protest, a handcuffed protester is shouting to reporters that police officers had been beaten by several female demonstrators in the van, before she was pushed into a patrol.

Protest is one of the many anti -war demonstrations organized by Arab residents of Haifa amidst the continuing battles in Gaza, which often lead to mass arrests. Left Israelis participate in these demonstrations.

In April of this year, police violently arrested 23 protesters in a similar protest at the same spot, tearing paper placards from the hands of the participants as they shouted against the war.
