Humanitarian aid trucks headed for the Gaza Strip today crossed the Rafa border station, from Egypt heading to the Palestinian enclave, where Israel announced a “humanitarian pause” in some areas to allow the aid to be delivered.

Pictures of the French agency show large trucks loaded with white bags crossing the entrance of the passage to Rafa, which leads to the southern lane of Gaza.

However, trucks do not enter directly through the Palestinian side of the passage, which has been damaged and closed due to the war.

They cross a few more kilometers to the Israeli passage of Kerem Salom, where they will undergo control before crossing Rafa on the Palestinian side.

Some trucks carried the Egyptian Red Crescent logo and other United Arab Emirates flags with the inscription: “United Arab Emirates- Humanitarian Aid in Gaza- Gaza Support Projects”.

The Al-Qahera News network, which is affiliated with the Egyptian authorities, said that “humanitarian aid trucks have reached the point of Kerem Salom’s passage”.

Jordan also announced today that it had sent a vehicle of 60 trucks carrying 962 tonnes of food and flour expected to enter the northern Gaza strip from the Israeli Zikim passage.
