The Israeli Homer family Eviat David held by Hamas in Gaza and the organization posted a video on Friday, accused the organization of deliberately starring him in the context ‘Propaganda Campaign’.

The family’s statement on Saturday came a day after Hamas posted a video showing the slim and obviously weakened, David in a narrow concrete tunnel.

24 -year -old David has been in captivity since Hamas captured him at a music festival in southern Israel on October 7, 2023.

“We are forced to see our beloved son and brother, Eviat David, deliberately and cynically starring in Hamas tunnels in Gaza – a living skeleton, buried alive,” the family’s statement added.

Homer’s family also called on the Israeli government and the global community to do “whatever it is possible to save Eviat”.

In the video posted by Hamas, Eviat David heard “I haven’t eaten for days … as soon as I have drunk” and seems to dig what he says will be his own tomb.

During her attack on Israel almost two years ago, Hamas arrested 251 hostages. David is one of the 49 hostages who, according to Israel, are still being held in Gaza. They include 27 hostages believed to be dead.

Israel has been accused by humanitarian aid organizations of pushing gauze into famine, turning food into a weapon in its war against Hamas – a category that denies itself.

Israel has stated that “there is no famine” and does not impose restrictions on the influx of assistance to Gaza – allegations rejected by its close allies in Europe, the UN and other lane operating organizations.
