The Israeli army has announced that it was targeted by energy infrastructure, used by Iranian rebels, south of the Sanai capital of Yemen, early this morning, while Israeli media reported that the power station was hit.

The Israeli army said in a statement issuing that these blows were made in response to repeated attacks launched by Houthi rebels against Israel, including launching rockets and unmanned air vehicles (drones).

Israeli media reported earlier today that the attack on the electricity production station was launched by the Israeli Navy.

The Houthi TV network Al Masirah TV had also reported earlier that a power plant south of Sanaai was hit by an “attack”, which had shut down some of its generators, without specifying who was responsible for it.

The workshops attempting to extinguish a fire caused at the plant’s premises managed to control it, added Al Masirah, citing official.

According to residents, at least two explosions had been heard earlier today in Sanaa.

Israel is bombarded with goals in Yemen, stating that these blows are in response to the attacks of Iranian rebel Houthi rebels against him.

Houthi rebels launch rockets against Israel, most of whom have been intercepted, stating that their attacks were supported by the Palestinians in Gaza.

The US and Britain have also previously launched attacks on Yemen’s Houthi rebels. In May, the US announced a sudden agreement with the rebels Houthi, which agreed to stop the bombing campaign against them in return for stopping their attacks on ships. However, the Houthi rebels say it is not foreseen in the agreement not to target Israel.
