Despite international criticism, Israel seems determined to move on to the next phase of the war. The aim is to complete Gaza and the dislocation of Hamas. The Israeli large -scale Israeli military operation has been on Thursday with the aim of fully capturing Gaza, for which at least 50,000 reserve are employed these days. Meanwhile, Israel has not yet responded to the last ceasefire plan, which Hamas has allegedly accepted after Qatar’s mediation.

A spokesman for the Israeli Army says a suburbs of the city of Gaza have already been occupied, and the attacks will be intensified in the coming days.

According to official assurances, efforts are being made to remove the civilian population and provide humanitarian aid. A recent announcement also calls on medical staff to hospitals in the area, as well as associates of international organizations to move away in the southern part of Gaza.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office has announced that the planning for the occupation of the city of Gaza is speeding up. However, local media estimates that this is an extensive military operation of many months, “that will continue until 2026”.

Criticism by international organizations

UN Secretary -General Antonio Guterres has addressed a new call for a truce. In his statements to the sidelines of an international conference in Japan, the head of the international organization stressed that “the need for immediate truce in Gaza” is vital in order to “prevent the deaths and mass destruction that will inevitably bring a military operation to the city”.

At the same time, Secretary General of the UN calls on Israel to revise its decision to expand Jewish settlements to the occupied Arab territory by constructing 3,500 new apartments on the West Bank. As he points out, “the construction of new settlements is a violation of international law”.

Evacuation, but in what direction?

In an unusual move, the International Red Cross is also calling for temperance to the Israeli government.

“Any expansion of military operations could cause a irreparable humanitarian crisis,” a spokesman for the Organization in Geneva warns, adding that today’s Israeli orders for evacuation relate to 80% of Gaza’s total surface area and are now “unmistakable” to them.
