Burst of trapped truck In Kali, the third city of Colombianclose to air basekilled five people and injured 36 others, Alejandro Mayor Edis announced, speaking of “drugs”.
In June, the former FARC’s disagreement faction, the so -called Central General Staff (EMC), took responsibility for a series of bombings and other attacks in Kali and around it, which resulted in seven people, five citizens and two police officers.
“Bomb” was triggered near the military base Marco Fidel Suarez, on a road artery in the northern part of the city of 2.2 million residents, police initially said.
Giving a new report on the victims of the attack on the press, the Mayor Edis said that “Kali becomes a victim of a drug attack again”.
Mr Eden has announced that he was prohibiting the city’s truck traffic immediately and until younger, because of the fear that other attacks could be committed, and offered $ 10,000 for any information given to the police that could lead to the detection and arrest of the perpetrators.
Visual material circulating on social networking sites depicts people on the ground as they offer them first aid rescuers, truck in flames, several more damaged vehicles and windows that have become crushed.
“We heard the huge explosion click near the air base,” Hector Bolanos, 65, told the French agency, adding that “there were so many injured” fallen to the ground.
“There are dead among the passers -by on the Avenue,” another eyewitness, Alexis Atista, 40 years old, described to AFP. At the time of the explosion, he was in his shop, where labels and glass signs were manufactured – many of the latter were injured by injuring people, he said.
The authorities have rushed to the attendees in buildings and school near the site of the explosion.
The head of the Prefecture Dillian Franciska Toro also spoke of a “terrorist attack” and added “terrorism will not beat us”.
Authorities have not announced which of the armed organizations operating in Colombia are blaming the bombing. The EMC had taken responsibility for June’s attacks itself.
Earlier yesterday, in the northwestern part of the country, eight people were killed and eight were injured in a drone attack on a police helicopter.
A police officer told the French agency that the perpetrators of the attack “harassed” a group of people assigned the destruction of coca crops. They also attacked a drone in one of the helicopters they transported, so it crashed.
On social networking sites there is a visual material that depicts helicopter to fly before a click and its fall.
Initially, police attributed the attack on the Clan Del Golfo cartel, the largest armed organization operating in Colombia. But Defense Minister Pedro Sanchez corrected this information later. According to Mr Sanchez, expressed via X, “newer information” by the police “confirm” that it was an attack by “E36”, which is “a criminal organization of disagreement, part of the cartel of the so -called Kalarkas”.
