Russia has announced today that it has occupied two villages in the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine, intensifying military pressure on the ground while diplomatic efforts to find a solution to the conflict.

In a statement to the Telegram application, the Russian Ministry of Defense argued that it had occupied the Serednie and Clay-Bicks in this area.

The occupation of the latter is an additional step towards the city of Kostanifka, an important stronghold on the Kramatorsk road that is an important point for Ukrainian logo on the Donetsk region front.

The Russian army has increased its territorial profits in recent months against Ukrainian forces lagging behind in men and equipment.

The promotion is noted as the prospect of a meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski, announced by US President Donald Trump and aims to achieve peaceful settlement.

Russian diplomat leader Sergei Lavrov accused the Ukrainian president yesterday of preventing a meeting with his Russian counterpart on the next day of similar criticisms made by the Ukrainian leader for Moscow.
