“Donald Trump has no legal basis, no authority, to attempt to send federal troops to Chicago,” the Democratic minority leader in the House of Representatives Hakim Jeffris told CNN.

“We must continue to support the local law enforcement forces, and we cannot let Donald Trump play with Americans, nor make a crisis to divert attention, as it is extremely unpopular,” he said.
