US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that he is working with the Speaker of the House of Representatives Mike Johnson and the leader of the majority in Senate John Thun, both Republicans, to prepare a “integrated bill”.

“President Mike Johnson and Chief John Thun cooperate with me with other Republicans for a comprehensive crime bill. This is what our country needs now, “Trump said in a post on the Truth Social Social Network Platform.

Citing a supposed wave of lawlessness, Trump took control of the police force in Washington this month and allowed the troops of the National Guard to carry weapons during patrols in the city.

He also threatened to extend the military presence to cities controlled by Democrats, such as Baltimore and Chicago.

Trump said earlier this week that the US Army could grow in Chicago, adding that he was ready to go anywhere in a short time to suppress the crime.

Trump also ordered the Ministry of Defense to ensure that each state has some troops of the National Guard in order to mobilize quickly to help suppress political riots and contribute to public security.
