The Plenary of the Turkish National Assembly adopted a resolution on the extension, he says, “Of the Israeli occupation in Gaza and the genocide of the Palestinian people”. The resolution is called upon by all parliaments of the countries to discontinue their military and commercial relations with Israel and to take action to lift the embargo against the Palestinians.
In the resolution, proposed by the president of the body, Curtainsstated, inter alia:
1. We condemn in the most intense way the practices of occupation, destruction and attachment imposed by Israel on the people of Palestine for decades.
2. We emphasize that the massacres against the Palestinian people and, more recently, the use of famine in Gaza as a weapon of extermination are a genocide crime.
3. We call on the international community to make more efforts to force Israel to accept a permanent truce in Gaza, to withdraw its armed forces from the area, and to ensure the smooth providing humanitarian aid to Gaza.
4. We condemn illegal settlement activities in Jerusalem and the West Bank, as well as violence against the people of Palestine.
5. We call to ensure that those who commit genocide and colonial crimes in the Palestinian territories will be held accountable before the courts.
6. We record that the creation of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state, geographically single, based on the 1967 border, is the only way to achieve a fair and lasting peace.
7. We emphasize that the attacks and challenges of the Zionist regime against the sacred places of Muslims, with the first of the al-Aksa mosque, must stop immediately.
8. We call to suspend the participation of the Israeli government in the UN and in international organizations until it abandons the genocide policies.
9. We call all countries of the countries:
– To terminate all military and trade relations with Israel and take an urgent action to remove the embargo imposed on the Palestinian people.
– To reject and condemn the genocide and colonial policies that Israel applies to the occupied Palestinian territories.
– To defend the legal rights of the Palestinian people, to maintain the prospect of the two states solution and to call countries that do not recognize the state of Palestine to recognize it.
– to participate in the “A group of parliaments supporting Palestine”founded on April 18, 2025 in Constantinople under the leadership of the Great Turkish National Assembly.
