Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has warned Russian allies in Russian-controlled areas in the south of the country not to cooperate with the occupiers.
In his daily videotaped message, Zelensky said taking responsibility for such a collaboration would be “inevitable.”
According to information from the Ukrainian services, Russia is trying to establish administrations in favor of Moscow in areas of Ukraine that it has occupied.
Speaking in Russian, Zelensky addressed the parents of the young men recruited to Russia. “Protect your children!” he said. Parents must do everything they can to protect their sons from the military. The risk of being sent to war in Ukraine is high.
“It’s a certain death for many very young children.” The Ukrainian military has recently liberated several Russian-occupied cities in the north of the country, Zelensky said.
However, he warned the residents of these fleeing cities not to return to their respective homelands soon.
He explained that there was a threat of more bombings there and pointed out that many houses were still mined.
