North Korea leader Kim Jong Un arrived in Beijing with his daughter, Kim Ju SA, to attend the big military parade.

At the Parade of “Victory Day” on Wednesday, he will stand by China’s Si Jing, Vladimir Putin of Russia and other world leaders.

Photos showed Kim disembarking from his armored train at the Beijing Railway Station, accompanied by his daughter, who according to the South Korean intelligence service is his “more likely” successor.

Si will host Wednesday the largest military parade in China’s history for the 80th anniversary of Japan’s official tradition and the end of World War II.

Kim passed to China on Tuesday by train, which is said to have a restaurant with fine French wines and dishes such as fresh lobster.

His daughter has appeared publicly on her father’s side several times since she made her first appearance in November 2022. However, information about her remains few.

There are conflicting reports about her age. In 2023, the South Korean National Intelligence Service (NIS) estimated that he was about 10 years old.

North Korea’s state -run news agency (KCNA) reported that he was welcomed by high -ranking executives of the Communist Party of China, including Foreign Minister Wang Yu.

According to the report, the meeting took place in a “warm climate” and Kim thanked President Xi for the “warm and cordial hospitality”. His daughter’s presence is not mentioned.

Kim left Pyongyang on Monday, but due to heavy shielding the train that carried him was slowly moving.

His presence marks the first time since 1959 when North Korea leader is present at a Chinese military parade. It will be among the other 26 heads of state, among them the leaders of Myanmar, Iran and Cuba.

His participation is upgrading to the last parade of victory in China in 2015, when Pyongyang had sent one of its top officials, Choe Rignog-Hae.

The secluded leader rarely travels abroad, while his recent contacts with world leaders are confined to Putin, whom he has met twice after the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

He recently visited Beijing in 2019, at an event for the 70th anniversary of China -North Korea diplomatic relations, also traveling by train.

The tradition of traveling by train began with his grandfather, Kim Il Sung, who had traveled to Vietnam and Eastern Europe in this way. His father, Kim Jong Il, also used a train, as he reportedly scared the planes.

According to South Korean media, the armored train consists of about 90 wagons, including meeting rooms, audiences and bedrooms.

Tens of thousands of soldiers will parade in formation in the historic Tiananmen Square of Beijing on the day of the parade, which will mark the 80th anniversary of Japan’s official surrender to World War II and the end of the conflict.

During the 70 minutes of the parade, China’s most modern weapons are expected to be presented, with hundreds of aircraft, tanks and anti -aircraft systems against drones, and this is the first time that the new Chinese army forces has been fully presented at a parade.

Most Western leaders are not expected to attend because of their opposition to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, which has led to sanctions against the Putin regime.

On the contrary, the leaders of Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar and Vietnam will be present, another proof of Beijing’s systematic effort to strengthen its ties with Southeast Asia.

Only Slovakia Prime Minister Robert Fitso will be attended by the EU, while Bulgaria and Hungary will be represented by delegations.
