The Minister of the Interior of Venezuelan Dosdado Campgenus accused Wednesday the US Armed Forces of committing out -of -court killings when they hit a speedboat in the Caribbean, where, according to Washington, drug traffickers were aboard.

“They murdered 11 people without going through justice. I ask if this is acceptable, “said Mr Campugu during his television broadcast.

US authorities announced Tuesday that they had a “targeted blow” to the Caribbean. President Donald Trump referred to 11 dead “drugs”, supposed members of the Tren de Aragua gang, who “transported drugs to the US”.

The French Agency notes that it is unable to verify these details independently.

“No suspicion of drug trafficking allows out -of -court executions at sea,” Mr Campugu, who many consider to be the second of the Venezuelan government, insisted.

“Nothing is clear, nothing was explained, they said that they were killing 11 people. The subject is very thin. And the right to defend? ” The minister insisted.

The military operation marks a new spectacular escalation, following the signature of US President Trump executive that allows the army to be developed against Latin American drug cartels.

Washington accuses Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro of being a “head” of drug -sharing gangs, Cártel de Los Soles (“Sun Cartel”) and recently increased $ 50 million the amount of pay he would provide for information.

For his part, Mr Maduro speaks of a threat of an American military violation and stresses that Venezuela is ready to get involved in a “armed struggle to defend national territory”. The US government has not publicly threatened to invade the country to date, but Mr Maduro sees – and his political opponents are likely to wish – a possible “regime change” operation.
