At least five people were killed and five others were injured today in Israeli raids in northeast Lebanon, the country’s health ministry said, with Israel claiming that it had targeted Hezbollah’s positions.
“Israeli raids in Bekaa and Hermel hills have left five dead and five injured, according to a temporary report.”stressed the Lebanese ministry.
The Lebanese Ani News Agency has spoken of at least seven raids in Northeast Lebanon, near the border with Syria.
Posting on X, Israeli Army Arabic Abija Arabic Army said that Israeli aircraft targeted “Hezbollah’s multiple positions, including Raduan Power positions”, a select unit of the Shiite movement.
These have been the first Israeli raids since Lebanon announced on Friday that his army would begin implementing his plan to disarm Hezbollah, which has been seriously weakened by the recent war against Israel.
Despite the truce in force on November 27, 2024, Israel maintains troops in five strategic border positions in southern Lebanon and regularly raids, mainly against positions and Hezbollah officials.
