The Russian attack that suffered damage to the Ukrainian government’s headquarters in Kiev, which is happening for the first time in the three and a half years of the war, was held with a ballistic missile Iskander, the “right hand” of Ukrainian president, his head.

“For the first time, the enemy attacked the Ukrainian government building, a blow with a ballistic missile Iskander,” he wrote in a post on the X platform.

Germak noted that he discussed this attack on a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

Russia often uses Iskander missiles against Ukraine. On Sunday, the largest wave of unmanned aircraft and rockets in Kiev and other areas launched to date.

EU ambassador to Ukraine Katarina Matrnova said earlier that he went to the government’s headquarters and saw the “wide hole” caused by the rocket, as well as his debris. He noted that the building was not completely destroyed because “the rocket did not completely explode”.

Antriy Danik, the head of the Ukrainian emergency service, said the damage was stretching to a surface of 800-900 square meters. The fire caused by the attack expanded “very quickly”, he told reporters who visited the building to see the damage.
