“For a long time, we in politics and society have turned a blind eye to the fact that some of the people who have come to Germany in recent decades have been socialized in countries where anti -Semitism is practically state doctrine and hate for Israel even alternates in children.”said Mr Mertz, from the inauguration of the former main Munich synagogue in the Gerdnerpats area, which was built in 1931, was destroyed by the Nazis on the night of the crystals in 1938, reopened in 1947 and was abandoned by the Jewish community of the city.
The old building was gradually renovated, with the city of Munich, the state of Bavaria and the federal state spending a total of 14m euros.
