Two Israeli soldiers were killed in a shooting attack on the Allenbi border crossing between West Bank and Jordan on Thursday, according to Israeli first aid services.

According to the Army radio station, at least one of the alleged perpetrators was killed.

The Israeli army is conducting investigations on the spot, while remaining unclear whether the perpetrators entered Jordan or through the West Bank.

According to the Army radio station, citing a security source, the perpetrator was allegedly a guide to Jordanian humanitarian aid truck to Gaza.

The Israeli Armed Forces announced that security forces had killed the perpetrator, who allegedly reached the area by truck on Jordan’s side, came out of the vehicle and opened fire on them.

According to Israeli media, the perpetrator was identified as Maher Al Jazi, 39, a Jordanian national working as a truck driver.
