A Business Conference on Artificial Intelligence, in the context of the European EU AI Champions Initiative Initiative, was co -organized by BSE in collaboration with the Government and the International Investment and Business Company General Catalyst, as announced by the Association.

The conference was attended by State Minister Akis Skertsos, Digital Governance Minister Dimitris Papastergiou, General Catalyst’s Managing Director for Europe, Jeannette Zu Fürstenberg, Chairman of the BSE Executive Committee, Rania Rania, and Rania Aikaterinaris, Technology.

The debate has focused on specific, applicable ways to overcome the challenges that prevent the development of a strong Greek and European TN ecosystem and keep Europe back in the battle of global competitiveness. The aim was to highlight tangible examples of practical digital adoption and proposals that will enhance Europe’s innovative ability, productivity and technological avant -garde.

THE K. Skertsos He said: “Greece has managed to become a” black sheep “of the EU for the last 6 years in one of Europe’s fastest growing economies. We have shown that budgetary discipline, the pro -investment reforms that reduce taxes and bureaucracy and the digitization of state and economy can change the course of a state. Today, as we implement our strategy for artificial intelligence and create one of the first AI Factories of the EU, we are determined to co-ordinate the future of our Union, in a clear way to the basic dilemmas of the time: the EU must become a producer again by a consumer and technology consumer and at the same time investing it.

This is essentially the Draghi report, which we support as a whole for a strong Greece in a strong Europe in a rapidly changing world. “

THE Mr. Papastergiou He noted: “Greece has a coherent strategy to take advantage of the opportunities brought by artificial intelligence. With the foundations of data, infrastructure and talent, we build the foundations for a sustainable future of innovation. Our country can emerge in a regional hub of TN, with a role active in Europe and the world. Our clear goal is a technology that serves man, development, democracy. We are proceeding with plan, vision and confidence in the new digital age. “

OR Jeannette Zu Fürstenberg commented: “Greece is a model of the kind of public-private cooperation that Europe needs to be competitive worldwide in TN. When governments operate as real partners, they move at the speed of startups and take on a strategic customer role, then the “Flywheel Effect” is created that joins startups, industry champions, public policies, capital and talent.

The European AI Champions initiative was born of the urgent need to reinforce Europe’s innovative capacity, and Greece proves that ambitious states can turn strategy into practice. This is the model that keeps the creation of value from TN in Europe, while building the durability that our continent needs for long -term competitiveness. “

OR P. CatherineIn her opening speech, she underlined: “Artificial intelligence transforms our world and Europe has to find ways to work better, with more public and private partnership at all levels. They need immediate and decisive moves, because TN is evolving faster than us. If we are delayed, Europe is in danger of being a consumer instead of technologies, with implications not only on competitiveness but also on its strategic autonomy and safety as the deficit in critical infrastructures, such as powerful cloud and advanced microchips, makes it dependent on third markets. “

Finally, the Chairman of the BSE Technology & Digital Transformation Committee, Markos Veremishe concluded: “Europe can shape its future in TN, turning its diversity and industrial depth into advantages. To create real momentum, it requires bold investment in research and talent, powerful ecosystems of cooperation between startups and industry, as well as a clever, flexible regulatory framework that accelerates instead of slowing innovation.

Manufacturing, coupled with TN, can evolve into a unique European competitive advantage, provided that it is supported by cross -border cooperation and clear priorities. Each country has to focus on the fields where it has real potential, and collectively we have to set ambitious but realistic goals. With durability, creativity and unity, Europe can lead in TN on its own terms, defining progress through its values. “
